Playing a little catch up...

I've been a lazy blogger lately.  We've had things going on, gone fun places and done fun things; I just haven't posted about them for some reason!  Here's a quick recap of the past couple weeks:
What a ham
We drove down to Des Moines for my sister, Kara's, baby shower.  She's going to have a baby boy in about 1 1/2 months!  I CANNOT WAIT!!!  The shower turned out great and little BS (the baby's temporary name) got a lot of great gifts.
Rattle cupcakes!

Isn't Kara just adorable?
Charlie walked "Waggs" around in circles all day

After the shower we had a lot of fun with bubbles.  Charlie LOVED it and kept saying 'bubble' over and over.

The next day the weather was nicer so we broke out Charlie's new mower that Grandma B got her for Easter.  It's a bubble mower so we knew this would be a huge hit.  And it was.  Until Charlie had a meltdown b/c she was super tired and needed a nap right. that. second.

We've made goofy faces:

Had tickle wars:

Had a date with Louie:
Held a "book club" meeting:
And had a play date with cousin, Langston:

All in all, we've had a lot of fun!  All while looking cute.  It's a pretty damn good life we lead.  We are blessed.  :)
Xoxo~

Just going to post some of my favorite new pics of Charlie.  She is such a goof ball.  She totally hams it up and loves to get us laughing.  I love her so much!

Fun in the outdoors

I love that our weather is warm enough now to enjoy time outside. Charlie loves it too! There is so much more to explore! I'm looking forward to this summer and hot weather and getting out our zebra pool. I think she'll really love it this summer! Here are a few pics of Charlie enjoying herself outside. I hope we can get outside some more today!

Happy Friday love bugs!

Want to help a mutha out?

I'm participating in the MS Walk again this year.  This is a cause very near and dear to my heart.  A very close family friend, Katie, was diagnosed with MS at the young age of 28.  Thankfully she is one of the lucky ones and has found a drug combination that is working wonders for her!  Until she started these new drugs she had blindness is her eyes and her right leg was paralyzed.  She no longer takes walking or eyesight for granted!  Could you imagine having to go through this all at such a young age?!?!  The MS Society is to thank for her now being symptom free because due to their fundraising the world is getting closer to finding a cure for MS.  What a great moment that will be!

So I ask you all, if you have a spare $1, please click the link below and donate.  The MS Society is doing wonderful things to put an end to MS and you can be a part of it.  Plus, it's tax deductible!  Who doesn't like that?!?!  :)  Thanks so much in advance!  I couldn't do this without you!

Cheers!

Easter Recap

Modeling her new shades!
I was really looking forward to Easter w/ Charlie this year.  Granted she is still a bit too young to understand the reason behind the holiday, but that doesn't mean she's too young to get an Easter basket and go on an egg hunt!

I was so excited to see her reaction to her Easter basket and the toys and candy in it.  The night before Wade and I had placed it all out on the TV stand and filled the plastic eggs w/ some Reese's candy eggs.  When she woke up Wade got her a new diaper while I made some coffee and then waited in the living room for her to walk in.  We pointed out her basket and told her the Easter Bunny had stopped by last night and left her some treats!  Her look was more like a 'What the heck is that?' look but it was quickly followed by excitement to tear into all the eggs and basket goodies.  It was a lot of fun to watch her.

Her favorite part of her basket was her new Mickey doll
Look Mommy, eggs!
Easter breakfast (please ignore the gross snot nose)
We decided to wait until after nap time to do the egg hunt so that the weather would hopefully warm up some.  The morning was just too cold!  So as soon as Charlie woke from her nap we told her that while she was sleeping we found some more goodies that the Easter Bunny had left her in our back yard!  She took off when she saw the first egg and didn't stop until she had them all in her basket!  She LOVED it!  She's an egg hunting pro!

And she's off!

Here's 2 more!

Flying high!

We had a very nice and blessed Easter and I hope you all did too.  We really should have gone to church services but Charlie has been battling a cold (which lucky me, I now have) and her patience is nil at this moment.  I know I would have spent the majority of the service out in the lobby walking around with her fussing and I just didn't want to deal with that.  Pick your battles, right?  :)

Anyway, happy late Easter!
