What? Like you don't do it too.

While out Christmas shopping for others I ended up finding a pair of shoes I couldn't pass up.  They were just the right amount of sexy, tall heels, different from all my other black heels and too good of a price.  Already on sale for $48 I also had a $10 off coupon so I scored these beauts for less than $40!  Merry Christmas Me!  :)  I know ya'll buy yourself a little sumthin sumthin while out shopping for others too, right???

Please excuse the shitty picture quality.  I tried to find a picture of them online but couldn't find one for the life of me...  Weird.  Anyway, in case anyone is interested they are Lauren by Ralph Lauren and on the box it says Fern.

Have a happy weekend!!!

Teething be damned!

Charlie is getting her molars in and has been sleeping like shit lately so I'm exhausted and will be keeping this one short.
The BIG news to update: I'm going to be an Aunt!  My sister, Kara and her hubby, Todd are expecting!  They are due in June and I can't wait!!!  I made t-shirts to help surprise our parents with the news last weekend:

And just for your viewing pleasure, Charlie double fisting it while driving her cart at Best Buy.  She LOVED it!  They need to get more of those things b/c they only had 1 and she would have ridden around in that thing all freaking day!  No baby tantrums while riding around in this Geek Squad car!
Too tired to post on anything else for now.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Put on your disco dancing shoes

Scored these babies for cheap through Victoria's Secret.

Night fever, night fever!
Can I just say I love them???  There is something a bit retro disco-esque about them!  I wore them last night and although they are very tall I love the way they look.  Just a little shine to jazz up my attire!  I felt like a disco mama.  Literally, as I was walking around and dancing w/ Charlie on my hip at the restaurant to try to keep her happy.  She skipped her afternoon nap and was a tad bit tired and crabby.  At least I looked good while dancing her up and down the rows of fellow patrons.  :)

Happy weekend lovlies!

Bags & Jewelry & Shoes! Oh My!

The theme I'm digging (which I almost always dig) is NEUTRALS! I'm a big fan. I wish I owned more neutral items and these would fit perfectly into my wardrobe. A girl can dream right???

Hive and Honey Multi Cord Bracelet

Nine West Fastpace Strappy Sandal

(and OMG these are CHEAP!)

Michael Kors Edie Shoulder Bag

And my WTF item. Seriously? Ew. I'm not sure if anything could make these things look good but I'd like to see someone try.

Mama did a bad, bad thing...

I splurged. Why is online shopping so damn easy!?!? I spent way too much money but got some cute new things coming my way. The 1st pair of shoes was already delivered and look even better in person than they did online. (Thanks to endless.com for their FREE overnight shipping and returns, seriously awesome!)

These bad boys are still set to show up tomorrow

and these I should have on Wednesday (victoriassecret.com).

Oops. Well, Mama may have done a bad, bad thing but at least her feet will be banging! :)

Currently lusting over...

So this isn’t technically like my past ‘weekly want-it’s’ posts, but a few items I’m lusting over currently but really have no use for unfortunately:

BCBGMAXAZRIA dark ink printed jersey faux wrap dress – I could actually wear this to work…

Sue Wong platinum ostrich feather beaded strapless dress – who knew ostrich feathers could look so chic!

L.A.M.B. Platform D'Orsay – LOVE! But they don’t have them in my size!

BCBGMAXAZRIA Urban Rock Square Satchel – Now that I’m a mom I need large purses but I just got a new Coach purse for Xmas, so no new purses for me for a while.

Charles Jourdan Diva Platform Sandal – These are unique and sexy!

Our tax return is on it’s way… Hmmm… :)

I know all I post about now is Charlie...

I can't help it though. As of now my life revolves around her. I'm still out on leave so I don't see adults for the majority of my time. I've gotten out of the house without her a handful of times but it is usually just to the mall or grocery store while Wade stays home with her. I've only gotten out for some fun three times in the last 7 weeks. Yikes. But that is the life of a new parent. Your time is no longer YOURS. A fun Friday night now consists of dinner out at Applebees and some wine/beer/liquor at home while watching a movie and maybe following that up with some ice cream. But all that is tied in with Charlie and whether or not she is cooperating and hopefully not screaming, shitting or spitting up all over exorcist style like she did Monday night. (Yeah, that was fun.)

But Charlie is so cute. I don't even mind it. Wha??? Who'da thunk it? I do miss my social life but it will return in due time. For the time being I will stay at home and stare at her adorable grey eyes (wondering what color they will turn out to be???), her long daddy-like toes, her Danny DeVito hair style, her big pouty lips, her growing buddah belly and her cute button nose. I wonder about what she will be like when she can talk. Will she be shy? (Doubtful w/ a mommy and daddy like us...) Will she be athletic? Will she like math, science, art? Will she be tall like her Grandma B's side or short like me? And the very important question: Will she like shopping with her Mommy??? Priorities people. Priorities.

Bad habits die hard

My Dearest Little Nugget,

You have made Mommy realize that her bad habit is in fact much, much larger than she ever thought possible. You see, Mommy always knew she had this flaw, however you have shown Mommy just how huge of a problem it really is and you aren’t even done brewing yet. (Look at Mommy comparing your gestation to beer. How typical!) Just look at you! Showing Mommy that she needs to get control of herself when you’ve still got 15 weeks left to brew, um… cook in there! What a talented little Nugget!

You see, Mommy has a weakness for shopping. Mommy has always known she had this problem as she LOVES to shop and has at times spent way more than she ever should on a pair of shoes or purse. However ever since Mommy got pregnant she stopped shopping for herself b/c, let’s face it, maternity clothes kind of suck. Plus who wants to spend a shit load of money on clothing you can only wear for a few months? (Also, swear words are bad. Don’t say shit.) So Mommy has taken her shopping habit to a whole new level and has spent way too much time and money shopping for you. Needless to say you will be one sharp dressed cookie, however this money could probably have been better used say, towards your future college fund perhaps? (But really, what fun is that?)

Anyway, Mommy found the cutest little Ralph Lauren cardigan last night that she couldn’t pass up. She got a helluva deal on it too. And she justified it to Daddy by saying that you could wear it with ANYTHING b/c it’s white w/ a little pink Ralph Lauren polo pony on it. Daddy’s response was less than stellar. It went something like this:

Mommy: “Check out this adorable little cardigan I got for Nugget! It was originally $30 and I got it for $10! Can you believe it? She’s going to look so cute in it!”

Daddy: “Umph. Cool.”

Mommy: “She’ll be able to wear it with everything! It’s a steal!”

Daddy: “Yeah, b/c I’m really concerned about her matching and coordinating.”

Mommy: (Gasp!) “Well you should be! What are you going to do? Dress her like a clown?”

Daddy: “Yep. A clown sounds about right to me.”

Needless to say Nugget, your Daddy likes to think he has good fashion sense but really the only reason he ever looks coordinated at all is due to your Mommy. Don’t worry. Mommy won’t let him dress you like a clown as long as she’s around! Unless it’s for Halloween. Hmmm… Mommy thinks you’d probably make the most adorable clown. Mommy will have to remember this in October.

Love you to pieces,

Mommy

P.S. If you could let Mommy get more than 4-5 hours of sleep each night that would be wonderful and Mommy would forever be grateful. This crap ain’t cutting it. Also, please let up on Mommy’s bladder. Mommy’s afraid she will pee herself while out shopping for you and that would be horrendous.

5 weeks

What a difference 5 weeks makes! I decided I'd wear the same shirt for a comparison shot from 17 weeks to 22 weeks today. Needless to say, there is quite a difference! Baby girl is almost a foot in length and nearly one full pound! She's an active little booger too.

I bought the dresser for the nursery and am waiting for it to be delivered so then we'll have one more thing done for the baby's room. I also went on a "small" shopping spree. There was a spring sale going on and I just couldn't resist. There are way too many cute little girl clothes! Other than that, nothing new in my world. Just taking it one week at a time.

Cheers!

Weekly Want-it's!

I’m bored with maternity wear already and I’ve barely even begun to wear it. I’m still wearing my pre-pregnancy pants with my belly band which has been a lifesaver! I’ve bought quite a few maternity tops from Old Navy since I feel like my regular clothes are too tight and show too much for work attire. These knockers are getting out of control as well and a new bra was needed over the weekend. I got one without underwire too b/c the underwire was killing me w/ my stomach beginning to push up into it whenever I sat down. Sad. I know. But I am much more comfortable now!

This weeks weekly want-it’s will be shorter than normal. I’ve been in a rut. I think its b/c I can’t be buying this stuff so why even bother looking at it. It just makes me sad. Oh well. What can you do? I do have a wedding coming up next month and will need to find a cute new dress or something for it so I’ll let you know what I find. Wish me luck!

Although I did find this adorable diaper bag by Kate Spade. Anyone want to shell out $345 for it for me? Dang it. :)

Kate Spade Smoky Cosmos Ring

Quotation: KAS ‘Sabby’ Dress

Hype Dylan Hobo

Guess Tank Sandal

Dolce Vita Trinity Studded Pumps

Alice + Olivia Sequined Keyhole-back dress

Sexy Party Time! Polka Dot Fun! Betsey Johnson Stretch Mesh Bra and Cheek-ini

And my WTF… Is it just me or is this totally from “Can’t Buy Me Love” circa 1987??? Maybe some people could pull this off, but VERY few. And I happen to think it should have been left back in the late 80’s. What do you guys think? Illia Fringed Leather Jacket

Weekly Want-it's!

This week is going to be a mix of accessories, normal clothing (that I wish I could buy now) and maternity clothing (that is mostly still too big for me). I’m in that awkward in between stage where I just look like I ate too much cookies and cream ice cream and have a fat gut instead of a baby bump. I’ve been wearing leggings and a lot of scarves and loose clothing to hide it even though everyone I know is fully aware I’m pregnant. I just feel a bit better should I go out somewhere where people don’t know I’m pregnant and that way they won’t think I’m a cow. :) (I know I’m being overly dramatic here peeps, I don’t look like a cow, but there certainly are days I feel like one. Actually I usually feel more like a pig. An insatiable pig at that.) So here goes!

(Also, thanks to Tiff for pointing out that Asos has maternity wear! Yippee!!!)
White House Black Market Laser Cut Heels
White House Black Market Silk Tie Dress
Steven Madden In A Pinch Hobo

Rock and Republic woven Kai Slingbacks

Mama.Licious Printed Tank

Mama.Licious Embellished Jersey Dress

Cole Haan Felicity Tote

Christopher Kon Jaime Hobo

BCBG Galaxy Mosaic Jersey Wrap Dress

Asos Maternity Herringbone Cotton Trim Dress

And for sexy party time I was going to do a maternity one and have a little giggle at it but I thought you guys would appreciate this one more. Am I right? Betsey Johnson Stretch Mesh Set

Weekly WTF item are clown shoes turned into heels. These could possibly match anything but look horrible with everything. Nine West Jennica Strappy Slingback
