Or maybe if I was feeling pretty in pink:

Or this for some gold glamour:

Or even this if I was feeling frisky (Cheetah, rawr!):

But this... Well, this poor girl looks like she just got thrown up on by a drunk clown:

How great are these dresses!?!?! When I went to prom there was no possibility of wearing a short dress. Everything prom related was long and formal. I want short and spunky! I want something I can dance around in and not trip over! I want fun and flirty! Mine was just so boring...
Is it just me or does prom seem to be getting less formal? I think I would have loved it.

I'll have an update on my b-day party up later this week. Let's just say I'm tired from having so much fun.

I'm with you. My prom was just 3-6 years ago, but I just missed the short dress fad. One of my friends had a short dress, but everyone thought it was really odd. Now long dresses are weird. I'm 5'2, so a short dress would have been nice and saved my feet lots of pain from wearing 6 inch heels.
How fun would it be to have a "Prom Night" with your friends. Our hubs' get get us corsages. We could actually get cool dresses and everyone could go out to dinner and go dancing. Not so sure if the hubs' would go for it though. I'm with you on the short dresses. Mine was a red sequin floor length monstrosity!
I would have worn the same thing!!
The tux and top hat I wore seemed so stereotypical of a male.
Perhaps I've said too much.
Have they made any progress on making it easier for drunk boys to unzip them? By the time I got her out of that poofy getup, my hand was too cramped up for foreplay. Not that there would have been any anyway.
I just got on my blogger dashboard for the first time in a week and a half. I saw the first line of your post and thought it said "I've been thinking about porn". Still a good post even with no porn. Happy Belated B Day! Hope you had an all-day-hangover inducing blast!
I love that gold dress!
I actually still love my prom dress....if I ever get a new/non-broken scanner, I can do blog goggles tag!
I like the short prom dress look, I wish it had been around when I went to prom. The gold one is so fun!
That last one? Yeah, I thought it was Heidi Montag for a second.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!
I completely agree!
Thinking about what I wore to my own prom makes me cringe. For my junior prom I wore a dress similar to Cinderella.
Why?
Why?
Why?
these dresses are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the carrie prom dresses that were around in the 80's. way better!!!
My first dress was a hoop skirt...I am not joking!!! I was on the homecoming court my freshman year and well..that was the style. It was 1989!
I wore short dresses both proms and I graduated in 1989. But I am a slut.
those dresses are great
my prom dress was poofy, the color of an easter egg, and covered in sequins
uggghhhh
wow! all so fab! great finds!
Prom is looking less formal and more superficial, that's for sure.
I am so with you, I love all the fun dresses out now! And some even feel a little eighties funky. BUT I have nowhere to wear them too...yay for being 28 and boring! :)
Did you get your necklace yet?!
xoxo
I feel the same way about kids' clothing. Have you SEEN the shit at Target that 8 and 9 year old's can wear now? SO FREAKING CUTE.
I was stuck wearing purple unitards and pink skirts with white patent leather shoes.
Torture.
PS- My prom dressed looked like a banana with a shawl. Hotness.
LOVE the pink and gold ones. I was looking for Vegas dresses the other day (which do give me a good excuse to wear silly dresses) and I was sad that I couldn't pick out a prom dress! I love the poofy/princess ones and was mad jealous of the teenage girls trying them on. Then I realized they were still in high school and wasn't so jealous...still wanted a prom dress though.
I want to see a prom picture of you posted here Kel!
Dude, drunk clown. Heck yes.
I totally agree about prom getting less formal. I was basically in a ball gown.
That gold one is awesome! Too bad I have absolutely no reason to buy it...
