I know you guys are just dying to get an update on my pumpkin so who am I to keep things from you. Plus I need your help.

First off, I unfortunately will need to buy a new pumpkin for Halloween this year. It was so damn close but the pumpkin is officially gon-dee. It officially took 10 months for this sucker to disintegrate. You can barely tell it is there but there are little pieces of it that still remain.

And second, this is where I need your help. Lo and behold something is growing right next to where the pumpkin used to be sitting. Please tell me this is a pumpkin plant. I will just about DIE b/c it will be so super cool if it is a pumpkin plant. I would then have my very own pumpkin "patch"!!! So tell me, those of you who know even a little something about plants, does this look like a pumpkin plant??? Please, please, please!!! :)

This weekend I am heading to Chicago! Take me away Windy City! It's our annual Girls Trip w/ my homies and I am pumped! I leave tomorrow afternoon and it will be non-stop giggling, drinking, eating and just having a ball! We are going to go shopping, to the beach and even hit up a White Sox game. I love my girls and I don't see them nearly enough so whenever I get together with them I start to act like a giggly little school girl. Yippee! Oh and something else that makes it all the more better??? Doni is on the same flight as me! So we are going to have pre-flight cocktails! I adore how that worked out! So needless to say I'm just a tad bit excited about it all and really don't want to be at work. Tonight = packing. I am such a procrastinator!

So I want to know, does anyone ever like my WTF items of the week? I know everyone has different tastes so I’m just curious. I just cannot comprehend how you would wear these damn things and make them look good?

Summa, Summa, Summa-time

Ah. Writers block. Not that I ever have anything that interesting to say anyway. Lately my life has consisted of traveling, drinking, traveling some more, drinking some more and that's about it. And really, how many interesting drinking and traveling stories can one tell?


Last weekend was no different. We drove to Illinois so Wade could race Sat and Sun while I hung out with the in-laws and my family who joined us there as well. We golfed, drank, shopped, drank, watched some racing, drank, boated, drank, gambled, drank and oh yeah, drank some more. It was a great weekend. The only way it could have been any better is if it had been about 10 degrees warmer and then we would have actually gotten into the water at the lake instead of just cruising around it. So no tanned tummy like I was wanting. But it was still wonderful.


This weekend we are actually going to be at home. I desperately need to get some house work done b/c I have been neglecting it since we've been gone all the time. The house is in shambles! And since football season is quickly approaching we'll be traveling some more to go watch the Cyclones get their asses handed to them (like always). So this weekened will be Boring (see that capital B, yep, that means super mega Boring). So nothing interesting for you guys today. So sorry. Good news, everybody, we're extending arts and crafts time by four hours today.

Last weekend was lazy and it was a good thing we didn't have any traveling plans b/c I got sick. Summertime sickness blows. You are tired and grumpy and just want to be able to enjoy the weather but don't feel up to it. Prior to me getting sick though I did get to go do something I've never done before! I got to see how the pros do it.

That's right. My good friend, Drew came up to town and lucky me, he had an extra ticket to the PGA. We saw Tiger, Ernie, Vijay, Zach, Phil, Vang and all those guys who are so awesome at getting it in the hole. :) I must say that Tiger is a lot bigger in person than I thought he would be. Hunka-dunk. It was a very cool experience and I'm glad Drew took my ass along! Thanks D ~ You rule!

Since I sat on my sick ass ALL day Saturday I was feeling a wee bit more energized on Sunday and joined the hubs and some other friends of ours on a day long motorcycle cruise through Western Wisconsin. It is really gorgeous all along the river and we had a great time in beautiful weather riding and stopping for some beverages along the way. It's a great way to enjoy a lazy Sunday!

This weekend takes us to the wonderful state of Illinois. Wade will be racing in Peoria while I will be maxin and relaxin w/ the families. My parents, sis and Todd are all joining us at my MIL's abode. We'll be cruising the lake, golfing and oh yeah, drinking. Can't leave that out! :) So here's to hoping the weather is grand b/c my goals this weekend are:

• To tan my stomach (which hasn't seen the sun yet this summer)


• Hope that I learned something from the pros and my golf game miraculously improves


• Wear my new bathing suit that I purchased (with your input!)


• Drink until I can't feel feelings anymore! Yay!


• Spend some QT w/ the fam and relax, relax, relax!
